On May 12th 2026, the latest ESA BIC Brindisi cut-off date officially closed with 12

applications received — the highest number recorded in a single window since the

programme launched in November 2023.

The figure reflects a encouraging level of engagement from startups and innovators

working at the intersection of space technology and real-world applications, and points to a

gradual consolidation of the programme's presence in the regional and national innovation

landscape.

Of the 12 applications, 8 originate from Puglia, with the remaining four coming from

Campania, Calabria and Lazio — a sign that ESA BIC Brindisi is progressively gaining

visibility beyond its home region.

The projects submitted span a range of domains, with Earth Observation and downstream

data applications featuring prominently alongside proposals addressing satellite hardware

and space industry standards. The diversity of themes reflects the breadth of contexts in

which space technologies can generate practical value.

The evaluation phase is now underway. Selected teams will have access to technical and

business development support, ESA expertise and the European BIC network.

The next cut-off date is scheduled for Q4 2026.

Apply now to ESA BIC Brindisi and turn your space innovation into a market-ready
