QSensato raises €1 million to accelerate the development of quantum sensing technologies
Incubated in ESA BIC Brindisi, the spin-off of the University of Bari Aldo Moro has raised a €1 million investment from Quantonation and Deep Ocean Capital to support the industrialisation of its quantum sensing technologies.
The investment marks a new milestone in the company’s growth path and will support its transition from research and development towards a more structured manufacturing capability.

From research to industrial production
At the core of QSensato’s technology is a patented process for the production of integrated atomic vapor cells, components used in different types of quantum sensors, including magnetometers, atomic frequency references and radio-frequency sensors.
These technologies have potential applications in several strategic fields, including Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT). The new investment will contribute to the development of Fab-1, QSensato’s new in-house manufacturing facility at the TecnoPolis Science and Technology Park in Valenzano, which is expected to become operational by the end of 2026.
The ESA BIC Brindisi journey
QSensato is one of the startups incubated at ESA BIC Brindisi, where it is also developing and strengthening applications of its technology with a concrete connection to the space sector. The new investment represents a significant step in the journey of bringing a technology originating from scientific research towards validation, manufacturing and market deployment.
For ESA BIC Brindisi, QSensato case highlights the potential of science-based technologies when research, technological development and entrepreneurial capabilities are integrated into a structured growth path.
